So a new mum at school who I dont know that well but we've met for coffee, had her and hubbie round for something to eat etc. Probably known her for about 6 months.

Anyway bout a month ago I get a call from a random sales person in Southern Spain (on my mobile) trying to flog me holiday and she says she got my number from this mum wtf! I was quite taken aback. Anyway I let it go thinking no big deal. Next trick in the book shes asks me for the number of the girl I use as a babysitter. So I give her it thinking oh she must be going out. She then texts me a couple of days later saying you and hubbie are invited to her hubbies 40th and I booked said babysitter for my kids. To say I was furious is an understatement.

So I text her back saying cant confirm as we may now not have a babysitter. Her response Oh sorry I nabbed ..... but its going to be a long nite and I need to feel comfortable.

So ladies what would you do, would you have it out with her or just let it lie and not have much to do with her in the future? The trouble is my Daughter and hers are quite friendly and in fact shes just texted me again this morning saying can my daughter go for tea tonite!

I agree with lilandbill, she's a "taker" IMO. Stay away!

Thanks lilandbill and cluckyduck

I agree totally and I will be giving her a wide birth but the trouble is my daughter gets on really well with hers so its quite difficult.

And I'm still really angry!

I was going to tell her straight but after the advice I've received perhaps its better to just ignore.

Thanks for chat girlies.
