Especially someone you are not in a relationship with but really like.

(i take it we are talking about a potential partner)

sharing information,making small arrangements to spend time together,then when you know each other better small expressions of how you feel like "I like coming to lunch with you .." or similar,and a gut feeling that you are getting close

it's a lovely experience isn't it?
