How can I bug my car?

NmChgrSuspicious · 14/02/2010 16:13

Am regular poster but for obvious reasons have name changed.
Suspect DH calls OW when out in my car (has just popped down to Morrisons to buy a loaf od bread ) he usually uses mine as I get free petrol from my employer.
Genuine request for info - something simple and undetectable.
No good trying to look @ phone log - he would not be that stupid, even if he has her real name in there.

phone bill?

tatt · 14/02/2010 16:18

it's possible to buy voice recorders, even ones that look like a pen but they aren't cheap and he might detect it.

There are now devices that will record where a car is. They are aimed at the quality of teenagers driving but have other uses.

could you just buy a dicaphone and hind under the seat?

lisad123wantsherquoteinDM · 14/02/2010 16:20

just when he asks to use the car, say you have left your mobile in there and then plant it

There is a phone available that looks like it is off. Its a nokia and you can phone in and listen to what is going on and the phone looks off.

FabIsGoingToBeFabIn2010 · 14/02/2010 19:23

Morrisons shuts at 4 on a Sunday.

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 14/02/2010 19:25

She might be in Scotland, Fab.

overmydeadbody · 14/02/2010 19:26

Surely it would be easier just to ask your DH? Do you know there is an OW already? Is it an ongoing thing? It sounds horrible for you!

MitchyInge · 14/02/2010 19:36

is it legal to record telephone conversations without the permission of the people concerned?

whomovedmychocolate · 14/02/2010 19:38

You can hire them or buy them. The best point to mount them is above the sunvisor that way you can capture sound and vision. Frankly though, if you suspect this, decide first if you really want to know.

And then ask him.

Ladyscratt · 14/02/2010 19:38

No

tatt · 16/02/2010 09:05

it's legal to record a telephone conversation in your home for your own use, not legal if you then try to use it publically. Don't know about your own car that someone had borrowed....

ShanBrod · 16/02/2010 10:05

Just put a tape recorder(small hand held one) under the drivers seat, if you know hes going out soon go turn it on.
