My DH just got home from work. DS3.4 watching telly, DD 9wks napping me on computer.

He came into room, I looked round and thought I saw a look on his face which I read to say 'snort, what the hell are you bothering with Mumsnet, its a waste of time, pointless etc.' I said ' Please dont snort at me, I want to talk on here, I enjoy it' but, I had a lot of emotion in my voice, and from his reaction it looks like he didnt have that look on his face at all.

He slammed the door and fumed out and said... I cant remember, but he thinks I am 'stressed out'.

I feel fine all day, I love my children, I love spending time with them, I have loads of energy, they are well behaved, I enjoy my life -

But this keeps happening. AAAGGGGGH.

It's because you are not spending all of your spare time with him. He needs to accept that you need time to yourself, you are not just a wife and a mother, you are eggontoast aswell.

You need to talk to him rather then assume he thinks you shouldn't be on here though, it may stop you getting the wrong end of the stick.

Sorry, is there background to this I don't know ? Have you had depression before or something ?

mrsboogie · 27/01/2010 17:31

you have a 9 week old? do you not remember what it was like before? you are just a bit hormonal and tired surely?
or is he worried you might have PND?

eggontoast · 27/01/2010 18:02

mrsboogie - I think I am just hormonal, I think he thinks i have PND!!

Jamie - no background of depression.

Belle - We do talk, very much so, and are really close. Mrsboogie has hit the nail on the head.
