When men are lying, where do they hide stuff?

If a man was keeping stuff from his wife, where would he hide stuff like letters etc?

I've been through the letter drawers, can't get into his email address.
Need to check his coat pockets when he gets in from work.

I'm building a stack of evidence and want as much to throw at him as possible.

At work, in the garage or in the car I would think

GypsyMoth · 22/01/2010 14:04

his car
work
gym locker
other womans place

AngelsBum · 22/01/2010 14:05

But I use the car all the time. I've searched it already, nothing there.

Can't get to anything hidden at work.

Did you try the boot of the car where the spare wheel is kept. I found loads of interesting stuff there. Also under driver's seat ex's car had a hidden compartment. I think men in general don't hide stuff in house, it'll ususally be in their car, work, gym locker etc..

PureAsTheColdDrivenSnow · 22/01/2010 14:37

Do you have a loft?

What about somewhere in the garden - DP hid my xmas presents under the BBQ!

drloves8 · 22/01/2010 14:43

angel . i hope your wrong and everything turns out ok .x

debbiedoodoo · 22/01/2010 15:19

Mine his his completely double life in the boot of his car and in the loft. Caught him out when he left his briefcase at home and I opened it to look for a stamp.

Hope it works out for you.

BrahmsThirdRacket · 22/01/2010 15:45

At work. 0% chance the wife will find it.

I don't think men keep stuff like letters the way women do. If there's something going on it would be in the phone or on the computer.

Other places, assuming there's a paper trail -- pockets of jackets and coats, under drawers (take them out and look underneath for taped on envelopes) under tech stuff, filed with bills, in a briefcase disguised as another file... but I don't think they're sentimental in general about love letters. Photos are a different story. Receipts can tell you a lot. Plus checking the mileage on the car. The phone bill often tells a tale.

overmydeadbody · 22/01/2010 16:26

What are you hoping to find?

With my ex it was drugs he was hiding. He hid these behind the vending machine in the lobby of our apartment, in the loft, in secret compartments in his bag, in socks, and out by the weely bins in secret compartments in the wall. Also, under the mattress at home and in old suitcases under the bed.

overmydeadbody · 22/01/2010 16:27

men don't keep letters though do they? And if he was keeping letters for whtever reason then they are probably at work.

You need to take the car apart. Try removing panels and flaps where normally they would only be removed for maintenance like the fuses or lightbulbs.

Pockets of clothes he does not normlly wear but hang in the wardrobe.

Watch the car mileage and mobile phone behaviour!

I know of someone who found a rather sick stash of porn in her bathroom - behind the bath panel.
