What do you love most about your man?? Nice thread!

It's January, it's cold, xmas is long gone and most of us probably aren't in the best mood of late. My poor dh has been getting snapped at by me every time he puts a foot wrong so I thought it would be nice to think of the things that we love most about our dh's/ dps!
Mine is that every night when I sit down after putting ds to bed, he grabs me for a cuddle on the sofa in front of the soaps oh and he sometimes draws funny pictures on my leg in my sleep!

He makes me feel safe, loved & wanted (and after 14 years of abuse with ex-p that's a huge bonus)

So many things.... but have to say, however vile I am to him (whether because of pregnancy hormones, bad day at work or general being a bitch) he is never ever ever horrid to me and has never said anything mean to me, ever, in 7 years.

I don't deserve him

If I've had a bad night with a little one and lie on the sofa for a snooze he will rub my feet until I drop off (bliss)

He changes nappies without giving it a thought, even code brown ones

He always clears away after a meal and empties the dishwasher.

I'm a lucky woman

He always kisses, caresses, hugs, looks after me, tells me he loves me every day.

He is the best. Loving, caring, loyal, fab dad. Just everything. He is definitely my soul mate.

I love him to bits and couldnt imagine my life without him.

Aww what lovely posts! It's nice to think that even though we give them a hard time of it sometimes (or perhaps just me !) us ladies still love them!

He does everything he can to make life easier for me and DS, even when he's tired, stressed and busy himself, and he is the most loving, fun and attentive dad that DS and bump could ever wish for. Also, he makes us all laugh and he smells good.

I'm disappointed that no-one said anything crude like "humunguous nadgers".

DH has been amazing these last few months.

I had a major op in Novemeber, his support was unending. He had to work, cook, clean, look after ds's, offer emotional support to me. Then just when I was about to go back to work I fell off my bike and injured myself badly.

He had to step in again, working, getting ds's to and from school and cooking. Admittedly only for a couple of days but I'm still in some discomfort and his emotional support is neverending.

We've been together 15 years this year but he's even surprised me with quite how supportive he has been.

Mine ... brings me cups of coffee in bed in the morning, hugs me and tells me he loves me. And he has just come home from work in his lunchtime to make me food because I'm sick in bed. I love him to bits, he's great.

He loves me, loves me, loves me. In so many wonderful, heart warming ways. Every single time he sees me he kisses me, and wraps me up in full body hugs as soon as DD goes to sleep. He challenges and encourages me in everything. He's everything I ever wanted, and then more. Doesn't mean I am not complete cow to him sometimes, though .

And he is besotted with our darling baby DD: such a loving, gentle dad. Am glad she is growing up with a dad who adores her and will always be there for her. A dad who won't buy her / let anyone buy her a pink ironing board (DH and I have an issue w these sorts of toys w underlying messages...), but will love to take her to museums and talk to her about things, play sport with her and encourage her to be anything she wants.

He just gets me, and isn't judgemental even though I am rather, er, challenging He is the eye in the centre of my storm

He makes me laugh, we share a silly sense of humour and he's the best best person to giggle with.
He's so excited about becoming a Dad; he's reading all the same books as me, and we're discussing them, and enjoying the discussions.

He's cuddly and warm and he tells me I'm beautiful, even when I have uncontrollable pregnancy-related farting ishoos..

He's my best mate. Although sometimes he drives me up the wall and I'm sure I irritate him a lot - the fact is, I know he loves me, because he makes sure I hear it and see it in how he behaves. I might be narked that he didn't empty the dishwasher last night, but the truth of the matter is, he makes me feel loved and valued everyday. He's fantastic.

Oh, and he's great in the sack.

I love the way DH always puts his family first. There is never any doubt that we are the most important thing in his life.

His straight talking- If he doesn't like something, he will say so, so there is no need to second guess his thoughts.

He is the most amazing father DS could possibly have. Very loving and will do anything for him.

He also has the best bum I've ever seen

He is a fab dad and has got the sexiest back and bum ever!

He's my world - a fabulous husband and lover to me and a wonderful and supportive father to our now very grown up DD - he'll drive half an hour in the wrong direction when he finishes work just to take post to her at Uni.

We've now been together for 28 years and will have been married for 25 in March when he takes me to Cuba for a second honeymoon.
I hate this time of year ( January is a big reminder of death in my family) and the only thing that's keeping me going is the thought of lying in his arms in a hammock on the beach. He put a big aerial picture of the resort on my latop screen saver for me to drool over and shows me the countdown on his Iphone every morning.

He's just a lovely man who has put up with all my mental-ness during the years with good humour (mostly ).

I'll still melt into his arms when I'm 90.

He has a fabulous arse and is incredibly good looking

He doesn't like football, so don't have to have Sky Sports, he doesn't swan off down the pub on saturday to watch the match, he doesn't wear vile football tops, the list is endless.

He is very kind and alwasy says I look nice, he loves me, how clever he thinks I am etc.

He is very well dressed, likes clothes and foes out buying me clothes as well for treats.

He is very funny and makes me roar with laughter.

He loves me, our DS and unborn DC with all of his heart and he is the kindest, gentlest man I have ever known.

He is affectionate, funny and far more patient than I. At weekends he still gets up early with DS so I can get some more shut eye (am 38 weeks pg and struggling with the whole sleep thing). I love watching him just muck about with DS - he adores his father.

He is also a fab shag and a great gardener. What more could a woman want?

He is Daddy to DD1 even though we met just before she was three (he helped out at her party!). Does his fair share with both DDs- if I ask him to take over bathing/pyjama-ing/dinner he will.
He buys me silly little surprises just because he 'saw it and thought of you'.
He told me the other day that the reason he goes to the gym is to keep himself nice for me! And he got his wedding band tattooed on last week because he regularly breaks or ruins rings at his job.

Oh and he is great in the sack... He has been told so many times that he looks like Orlando Bloom, if said actor had a full time job heavy lifting, liked tattoos, went to the gym and never shaved. MINE

Aw, I feel all emotional reading this thread! Lovely antidote to the abusing barstewards featured in some of the others...

I love my DH because he makes me feel like some kind of goddess (Aphrodite, probably!), even during the whale-like weeks of late pregnancy.

He cooks, cleans and does laundry without being asked and has been wonderful at preparing for the new arrival with me - coming to all my medical appointments, reading the books, listening to MN anecdotes (!) etc. And he is always giving me cuddles and massages - one big pamperthon.

He's also my toyboy, so dead cute young man's bod and wonderfully enthusiastic with it (woof woof!)

He totally supports me, whatever I want to do. His motto is 'if you're happy, I'm happy'. He's an absolute diamond.

This is a lovely idea for a thread, I had a nice time trying to define what I love about Mr Pingviner, though reading it back it does rather warrant a smuggery-boak alert

He is a totally hands on, confident, loving and amazing father

Hes rather foxy and great in bed, (as a pillow and heat source too)

Hes got a bizzare and wonderful sense of humour- we will always find something to laugh about no matter how bad things seem, and I have so many ridiculous times with him

He can be romantic in utterly unexpected ways

He is intelligent, witty and an amazing musician.

His general character- hes sure of who he is, doenst need his ego stroked all the time, hes coolheaded, pragmatic, not afraid to speak about things

He acts like an adult, eg we share everything about the housework and cooking- he just does stuff if it needs doing, and does it well
Maybe thats a dumb thing to value but I have seen too many men who lose these capabilities in a relationship
