If someone at work who you have spent a lot of time working with says to you it's been a huge pleasure to work with you this week is that just being really nice or very slightly flirty?

Not sure, would depend on how it was said and what you had been doing, have had this said to me before by both male and female colleagues and never in a flirty way (well, if it was I was too daft to realise!!)

FabIsGoingToBeFabIn2010 · 09/01/2010 17:42

Really? I think you should take it as just being polite..

thelunar66 · 09/01/2010 17:44

Depends on body language as the time.

jeminJanuaryWooHo · 09/01/2010 17:45

Body language, tone, etc etc...nothing on words alone is it.

Kiwinyc · 09/01/2010 17:56

Depends on hows its delivered. It could just be polite, i've said the same thing myself and not meant anything by it.

isthisflirting · 09/01/2010 18:02

thanks ~I would also say it myself and it would be polite and that is what it probably was...it was just a feeling of intensity from the week and during the conversation somehow.
That's good that it is just being nice, and a great compliment too.
Thankyou!

Depends if he gestured at his throbbing erection at the same time, surely?

morningpaper · 09/01/2010 18:16

when he said "Huge" did he make the shape of breasts with his hands or indicate towards his crotch area?

Why are you asking?

isthisflirting · 09/01/2010 18:20

ha ha very funny ladies

mp I guess I was asking because it felt as if it was

"I guess I was asking because it felt as if it was" - Aha!

So, unless you're one of those women who think the vicar's flirting when he says "Hope to see you next week" ... it was flirting!

I've been thinking and I realise I don't so much mean flirting as that connection you get with a new friend sometimes that's quite intense

OP posts:
overmydeadbody · 09/01/2010 18:54

Do you want it to be flirting?

overmydeadbody · 09/01/2010 18:56

Well we can't guess what the feelings where based on just what was said, only you know the emotion or feeling conveyed.

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 09/01/2010 18:57

BoF and MP

isthisflirting · 09/01/2010 18:58

I think thats it ~ a lot of feeling conveyed not in a sexual way but in a flirty intense lots of things unsaid sort of way

OP posts:
isthisflirting · 09/01/2010 19:01

yeah bof and mp have quite put me off

lol..

BelleDameSansMerci · 09/01/2010 19:03

Now I'm intrigued... Do you want it to be flirty? Would it be exciting and lovely if it were?

Excuse my curiosity but I have to live vicariously through others these days!

isthisflirting · 09/01/2010 19:13

You know when you meet someone and get on extremely well in an intense, close sort of way building up over time...sort of friends but very close?

OP posts:
isthisflirting · 09/01/2010 19:30

Belledame..it already is exciting and lovely...

FabIsGoingToBeFabIn2010 · 09/01/2010 19:51

BelleDameSansMerci · 09/01/2010 19:54

So, will you be working together again next week?

TippyTumbles · 09/01/2010 20:02

isthisflirting · 09/01/2010 21:12

OP posts:
BelleDameSansMerci · 09/01/2010 21:15
