feel like saying something nice about DH....

It is a bit sad to always hear about people's DP's only when they are having a bad time in a relationship.

It makes me feel a bit glum that the world is full of waste of time men. I would really like to hear nice stories / things about DP/DH's for a change.

I will start.

The best thing about DH is the fact that he is so loyal. Example, when we got together his mother didn't like me at all. It was really horrible. Anyway, he told her that he wanted to be with me and she was being unreasonable for not accepting me. I did not realise it until recently but he didn't speak to her for nearly two months, which considering how close he is to his mother is a really long time. I was really touched when I found out.

Jamie & Anyfucker - I think it is helpful to have a man who is good in bed. I would not say anything about my DH in bed because he would think it was very shallow of me, so instead I will just do this .

Howdid - I like the sound of the dinosaur impression. It sounds really amusing.

my dh searched 3 supermarkets looking for coffee ice cream last week when I fancied it.

This evening he went out in the snow to get diet coke.

He cancelled his trip to the ciname when I realised I had forgotten a work apt, ( I could have rescheduled just as easily)

Got up with noisy small child this morning when I was laying in denial looking after smaller child in our bed.

He's a bloody grumpy sod at times but the good times are much more frequent.

I seperated from my arse of a husband nearly 18 months ago... 4 months ago I met a wonderful man, I never thought I would ever meet anyone that I felt comfortable with again, but he is lovely, great with my kids, great with his kids, is a wonderful cook, tells me I'm beautiful every day (his laser eye surgery clearly didn't work ) and to top it all he's fantastic in bed [swoon] I love him to bits...

Where do I start?
He is loving, caring, kind, super intelligent, romantic.
He is very loyal to me and will put my needs before others' including his parents' whom he is close to.
He builds me up and is supportive when facing difficult situations.
He accepts me as I am even when I have so many faults.
He is everything I could have wished for in a husband.

Maleeka · 04/01/2010 00:47

Got a diamond of a OH too even tho i dont deserve him half the time cos i'm a selfish cow!

He helped my sister to move into her flat, plumbed in her washing machine, did the shopping and then came home and made dinner.

He took the kids and their friend to kidspace on friday cos he knew i had my usual monthy tummy ache and they were driving me crazy!

Oh and he also scrapes the ice off my car and does the kids breakfasts and packed lunches before he goes to work so that i can lie in till around 7.30 and gradually wake my lazy arse outta bed!

PandaEisGOTABFP · 04/01/2010 01:03

possibly AF he does go out during the day claiming to be "at work"... does yours have a funny mottled haircut at the mo too?? he used one of those remington one handed clipper things on christmas day and his hair is now leopard pring but you would know that if hes your DH too

AnyFucker · 04/01/2010 08:03

no, no leopard print haircut lol

I do rather love my DH - even though he is mostly an overgrown teenager - he is a fab cook and he puts up with my evil moods (mostly) and he loves DS and me to bits. I wouldn't swap him for the world, even when he's annoying the hell out of me.

MamaLazarou · 04/01/2010 08:10

I'm always happy to contribute to these sorts of threads.

My DH is the most wonderful man on Earth. He is fabulously sexy, loves housework and cooking and fixing things, never ever makes unpleasant noises or smells in my presence, tells me I am beautiful and wonderful at least once a day and generally treats me like royalty.

No idea how I got so lucky. Someone up there likes me!
