I posted a few weeks back about my mum chatting to this guy on the net who lives in Kosovo and how they were obsessed with each other, even tho they havent met, and how they say they love each other, well today she booked her ticket to Kosovo....

Blimey that sounds a bit dangerous.

AnnaInManchester · 29/06/2005 19:16

HappyHuggy · 29/06/2005 19:23

maybe meeting him will be a dose of reality?

AnnaInManchester · 29/06/2005 19:24

yea I cant believe shes going to stay in some guys house she hasnt even met before and he cant even speak good english. she has to change at london and shes never been the 8 miles to manchester alone before (and its our nearest city - bus goes direct every 10 mins from our house)

i have to admit... i have met people from the internet by myself. very dangerous though... i was young and stupid.
have even met people abroad!

AnnaInManchester · 29/06/2005 19:31

I have met ppl from the net too when I was 16/17.....most except 1 turned out well, and I still speak to some of them, but I would never do it now! I was so naive and stupid back then!

starlover · 29/06/2005 19:37

AnnaInManchester · 29/06/2005 19:42

OP posts:
AnnaInManchester · 29/06/2005 20:06

so I guess I have to let her go?

OP posts:
starlover · 29/06/2005 20:08

i think all you can really do is express your concern. tell her you're worried for her.
and make sure she knows that if things don't work out that you'll be waiting for her when she gets back!

starlover · 29/06/2005 20:08

parents eh? who'd have em?

AnnaInManchester · 29/06/2005 20:12

but if i went with her at least i know she would be safe, but i totally disagree with it and have my own life to lead and a job to go to.

OP posts:
starlover · 29/06/2005 20:13

how would she feel if you did go with her?

AnnaInManchester · 29/06/2005 20:18

she would be elated. but i cant ask for time off work, and if I get a new job which should be in a few weeks, i dont want to put them off me by saying i have holidays booked.

OP posts:
starlover · 29/06/2005 20:33

hmm difficult one... what day is her flight? could you just go for 2 or 3 days perhaps?

MeerkatsUnite · 30/06/2005 06:57

I remember your original thread but as your user name keeps changing it does get very confusing!.
