As in Plenty of fish?

I joined 2 yrs ago! No luck for me! Maybe need to update profile?

MrsMorgan · 27/12/2009 13:51

It's rubbish

SimpleAsABC · 27/12/2009 13:52

Yeah, plenty of fish...

Have you been on any dates?

I really joined for a laugh but would love to hear others tales! Mnet is bound to have some members me thinks!

I'm on there.....have had some rather 'memorable' email - one including the offer of a naked waiter

AnAuntieNotAMum · 27/12/2009 14:19

Listening to the guys in the office, I'd say, it's got a reputation of being down market and a place blokes go to meet women they'd shag but not want much more with while being quite as obvious as pure meet and fuck sites.
No free lunches....

AnAuntieNotAMum · 27/12/2009 14:19

I meant to write, not quite as obvious

SimpleAsABC · 27/12/2009 14:35

Some of them are waaaaaaaaaaaaay creepy

No, no dates in fact pretty much no messages!! Haven't been on there for ages though so guess profile wouldn't come up.

Also tried singlewithkids dating, not free, but did actually get more messages on there. Need to re-new membership i think!

christmaseve · 27/12/2009 14:39

I was on it for a while. I rename it Plenty of Shit. Friends have had better luck than me on it but carn't think that any have met the one on it yet.

Good luck, as it's free, no harm in keeping your profile on just in case someone irresistable pops up.

MuthaHubbard · 27/12/2009 14:41

have a bit more success (and a few more decent guys) on cosmopolitan's dating site - if you type in NEWYEAR when signing up, you should get a month for £4 (hopefully)

MissPopOff · 27/12/2009 14:58

Bad experiences with POF, deleted membership after 3 months of nutters, perverts and liars. At least it helped me decide I was not really ready for a relationship. Who needs men!!

kdk · 27/12/2009 16:45

Full of weirdoes/married men/toyboys but some women do have success - think it probably depends on where you are.

I'm thinking about meeting someone off there for a date - will be the first I've ever bothered to meet and pretty sure it won't lead to anything apart from maybe friendship - and I've had a profile up for best part of a year!

GettingThingsSorted · 27/12/2009 18:00

Anyone tried GirlsDateForFree?

kdk · 27/12/2009 18:41

Horrible - really really horrible - please don't go there - I find it worse somehow than PoF but suppose it depends what you want - think I'm probably too bleeding fussy for my own good which is why I haven't found anyone!

Where are you and what sort of bloke/relationship are you looking for? Have you tried posting on the lone parents board - there's a long running thread there are all the fit, interesting and available men Pt.15 which is usually good for advice regarding dating sites and online dating in general.

chubbasmum · 27/12/2009 23:11

Ive been on POF its a mixed bag good, bad and the down right desperate its like the lottery your number or should i say you will catch your fish when you least expect it so says someone who is still single, its not a bad thing to be fussy dont give up
