Vibrator pressie - Help how do I use it?

My friend gave me a pressie of a vibrator for Christmas. Its basically a vibrating penis shaped rubbery thing. I've never used one of these things before and am embarrassed to admit I am not too sure what to do with it. Do you insert it, or just sort of rub it around the ahem clitoral area?

I think what you have there is a variation on a Joni's butterfly. It is designed to be held against the clitoris.

Although it can be more usefully be used to ensure wobbly jellies at children's parties (just pop a doily over it to prevent awkward questions)
