Sex after c-section

I'm not sure if I've posted this on the right forum, but I'm looking for advice on when I'll be able to have sex with my DP again.

I had a C-section 5 weeks ago, and am feeling fine in myself (I guess I wouldn't be asking if I didn't) but I'm not sure when it is safe to have sex again.

Any ideas?

i think when you feel ready is a good indication, but make sure you use contraception.

as long as you are healing, feel well, no indication of infection, then go for it

I had sex about 3 or 4 weeks after a c-section. It took a few attempts to get back into the, ahem, swing of it. It felt like being a virgin again, for some reason. No problem with giving it a shot - you can always stop if you don't like it.

I think (was a couple of years ago now) we were back to it around 5/6 weeks, just take it at your pace.

Whenever you feel like it we did as soon as bleeding stopped about 1 week but very carefully.

We were at it 2.5 weeks after (carefully)! and back to normal business after about a month.
