Help me with my 'newly single' playlist please

After almost a year, I am (hopefully) a few weeks away from moving into my own house with my DDs and away from EA, toxic ex-H (who right now lives in same house).

SO I want to put together a playlist on my iPod to blast out (sorry, new neighbours!) while I unpack and generally feel very relieved and enjoy myself.

I don't want 'I will survive' because it's MY house and he is never going to put even one toe over my threshold, so I don't need all that 'get out' stuff.

So I'm thinking 'Independent Woman' by Destiny's Child, 'I'm still standing' by Elton John, that sort of thing - all suggestions welcome, thanks!

poshsinglemum · 30/11/2009 13:12

'Thank you' by Jamelia
'I'm still standing' by Elton John
'I want to break free' by Queen

Anniegetyourgun · 30/11/2009 20:20

Cry Me A River? (whichever version you like, but I think Crystal Gayle was best)

My brother's excellent friends dragged me out to a karaoke when I was part-way through the divorce and feeling rather raw about it. They suggested I sang "I Will Survive", as you do, but I did Cabaret instead and that somehow hit the spot. He was such a miserable fecker who deeply resented me going out every other month for a pizza after work with the girlies. Now I can jolly well go night-clubbing if I feel like it! (Can't be arsed, actually, but that's not the point...)
