Solicitor tomorrow what is likely to happen?

Spoke to solicitor 9 months ago for preliminary appointment, Just to see where I stood re separation. He has now admitted to an affair and I wish to start divorce proceedings.
Will anything actually come of tomorrows appointment , or is it likely to be a second preliminary iyswim.

I guess this means that you can now divorce him for adultery if you want to do that and I would expect that he will explain your options.

I don't know what the solicitor will go through but if I were you I would try to prepare a list of questions you have so that you can make the most of the session, find out where you really stand and where to go from here

Well it is all underway - she doesn't mess about.

She is getting necessary letters written to confirm confession to the affair, arrangements for the DC and maintainance.

She is then on holiday for 2 weeks and will put the petition through when she comes back

I'm in a similar position to you - My H and I have been very unhappy for a long time, but this year has been desperately bad - he's been distant removed and has kept his phone by his side as if his life depended on it. I went through his wallet a couple of weeks ago and found evidence that he had been somewhere completely different to where he claimed to be - to cut a long story short, he finally admitted (after lots of rows) that he had been there with a woman but that there was nothing in it blah blah blah.

I have asked him to move out, so that I can get my head straight and decide what to do, but he is refusing saying that I am being unreasonable etc. It's been the worse two weeks of my life - I don't know if I can force him to move out or if me and DS will have to move out. can I send him a solicitors letter asking him to move out - am so confused !

Just want some space. I was due to see a solicitor today but it got cancelled so am now going on Tuesday - but like you I have no idea what to expect.

What a horrible position to be in just before Christmas - but you sound so strong - how do you do it ?

I don't have any advice re the house situation, as H moved out as soon as I asked him, although even now I have started proceedings, he is entitled to come back at anytime as the house has not yet been sorted out.

I am not together, but am strong underneath. This has been on off for months, I now have the clarity in his confession and that has spurred me on, if you look at my other thread - I am such a f***g muppet you will see that last week I could hardly breathe, I am still having problems eating and sleeping, but slowly things are getting better.

Why the hell can't men cope with a happy family, why do they need to go out and further inflate their ego's.

I keep having a strong day and then days like today when I cry all of the time - my H is soo obsessed with our house and lifestyle that I think that is why he wont go - I also think he's thinking if he ignores me for a week or two I will just "get over it" and life will carry on as before !!!!!

I just want to take my DS and run away to a little house with no hassle of stress of checking phones/wallets and wondering what time he will be home etc - life is really hard at the mo !

Do you think that if I leave it will make it harder to get any support ?

Take care of yourself - how many DC have you got ? that is what makes it so hard as none of this is their fault !!

Do not leave the house unless you have been threatened physically imo. I know its hard but solicitor on Tues will help.
I am only certain about my situation and sometimes not even that.
Why not start your own thread asking for advice, there are loads on here who will support you,
my experience that if a thread is a couple of days old, people may have clicked read the op and not bother to look again, so starting your own thread is the best option.
