so... did you feign indifference.

or when you came to crunch talks about being in a proper relationship and what you wanted did you state from the off that you wanted marriage, family life and whole package?

or was it more you agreed to see what happened and life sort of happened?

DP says he knew he was going to marry me before we even met, when he first saw me, even though it was only a glimpse, and I didn't see him. We were together from the first night we were introduced, and are just waiting for finances to permit. Very happy though.

we met when we were 18, so marriage, kids etc. wasn't anywhere on the radar, we just went along for the ride (ahem ) we were together nearly 10 years before we even considered having kids, ah happy days...

Would knowing that this thread is being linked from twitter or any other social network change your post, or your choice of posting or not?

discuss further if you like

I'm doing my own research on acceptable social network links.

This is going to sound like a cliche but the minute I laid eyes on dh I knew he was the one for me. I was 16, he was 20 and I most certainly did not play it cool - what teenage girl does? I pursued him and made sure he knew I would wait but wouldn't give up

I had a boyfriend, he had a girlfriend, he was in uni etc, but after only a few days of knowing him I told him how I felt, I was bloody head over heels and we kept in touch over the next 2 years ... we both evntually split up with our partners and got together just after my 18th birthday.

I knew he was the one because he was everything I wanted, caring, gentlemanly, faithful, loyal, funny and bloody handsome to boot. He still is all those things - 14 years on and we are married, have 3 beautiful girls are are very very happy (most of the time).

Jumped straight in although we had been friends and house mates for 2+ years by that point.
