DH has just bought me an Omax - anyone got one? HELP!

I'm a total beginner with this kind of thing and to be honest am a bit nervous about my first use of it. Did anyone else feel like this when they first got such a device? Any tips on how I should approach it? Needless to say DH and I will have polished off a bottle of wine beforehand! HELP!
