Younger Mums

Are there any other younger mums on this site? Im 19 and would love to talk to someone in the same situation. As the only parent amongst my friends it hard to talk without feeling as though you're being boring and "mumsy"

I'm not a young mum but welcome to mumsnet. There are loads of great young mums here and I'm sure I recently saw a thread for them.

Hi Im not youg any more well depends who you talk to!! I dont feel it! But I wqas only 24 when I had my ds1. Im only 24 now but dont class myself as a young mum anymore.

I used to class myself as a young mum but I'm feeling quite old looking at you 19 and 20 year olds

I'm 24 - My dd is 5 years old so I was a teenage mum when she was born. Oh how things change in 5 short years

i'm a young(ish) Mum,I was 20 when my DD was born, now 23. Know what you mean about not being able to talk to friends my own age about baby/kid stuff. Most of my local friends (i don't live in the place I grew up) are in their late 20's or 30's.

YBA I was 26 when I had dd and although not really young know how you feel about being boring and mummsy as I was the first in my group of friends to have a baby. DD is now nearly 3 and my friend has a 6 month old and is never off the phone now and constantly tells me she is sorry for not being there for me but when the time comes for all youyr friends to start having babies you will have the knowledge and understanding to suppoert them - good luck!!
