My ex just called me on the phone. I was so frustrated and angry afterwards, that I just went and kicked my table in and its a wreck on the floor now with pot pourri everywhere. What is my mum going to say?

she is going to say...
"get that mess cleared up young lady!"

Hulababy · 09/05/2005 15:04

Maybe you need to pick it all up and hoover the floors, before she sees it. Then it won't look quite so bad.

starlover · 09/05/2005 15:08

when she asks where the table is just say

"table? what table?"

AnnaInManchester · 09/05/2005 15:10

lol....the table cost just short of a thousand pound

or go out. PMSL at Starlover

Hulababy · 09/05/2005 15:11

I also suggest you start thinking of a way of "paying her back" then. Have all this info ready, with an action, plan, a GOOD excuse, and it all tidy - and then tell her.

Mum2girls · 09/05/2005 15:12

But did it feel good Anna?

crunchie · 09/05/2005 15:13

Have you got good home insurance? For 'accidental damage' Is there any way you could have fallen into the table ??

AnnaInManchester · 09/05/2005 15:21

it felt good at the time, as did throwing my mobile phone and watching it shatter into pieces but my mobile phone is ok. now its reality. a nanny who kicks tables in?!?! who's gonna employ me now? think i'll have to go into early retirement at the grand old age of 21.

Don't you have a DS/DD/dog you could blame?

AnnaInManchester · 09/05/2005 15:37

Lol....I have 2 dogs except they're yorkshire terriers and are only 3 inches tall from the ground!!!

HappyDaddy · 09/05/2005 15:59

She'll say why didn't you do that to your ex's head, instead of my lovely table?

Janos · 09/05/2005 16:08

Err, is it your table Anna? Cos if not you're in pretty deep sh*t, aren't you?

Probably a good idea if you follow Hulababy's advice!

AnnaInManchester · 09/05/2005 16:16

I texted her and told her she might be mad at me, then she text back 'why', and I told her what happened but she said she doesnt mind!

OP posts:
Janos · 09/05/2005 16:21

Mmm,maybe she doesn't like the table

HappyDaddy · 09/05/2005 16:48

can you trash a few more bits?

AnnaInManchester · 09/05/2005 16:52

nah happy daddy....i've calmed down now! I dont know what came over me, I'm usually so rational and calm!

OP posts:
AnnaInManchester · 09/05/2005 16:54

Lol, Janos - I think it looks so much nicer and spacious without it. Whats that saying - less is more?!

I remember my dw phoned me once to say that she'd just ripped up her new suit. Said she just felt angry for no reason.

morningpaper · 09/05/2005 16:59

You did her a favour dispensing with the pot pourri - what is this, 1987?

Sounds like she's seeing it generously though - a narrow escape!

AnnaInManchester · 09/05/2005 17:01

Lol happydaddy - its a woman thing, u wouldnt understand!

morning paper - i cant believe how nice she was! shes usually a witch but has been nice about it!

OP posts:
Papillon · 09/05/2005 17:07

were you wearing steel cap boots!

AnnaInManchester · 09/05/2005 17:11

Lol, I didn't stamp on the table!!! I got my sword out and swished it and swoshed it and cut it to shreds!
Really I just roared out a great big roar, making my 2 little dogs tremble bless - they did get a cuddle and an apology afterwards!, then I sort of kicked the table and it just collapsed and the legs snapped in two and the pot pourri went on the floor.

AnnaInManchester · 09/05/2005 17:12

Shoddy table. Your mum should be grateful.
