How often do you do it?

I know everyone is different, and some relationships are more "active" than others but just wondered on average how often you have sex.

We have 3DC so its difficult to be impulsive so its always at night in bed. However, DH works shifts so we tend to go through phases and its kind of feast or famine.

DH has recently made joking comments about how we dont do it enough (and I know he is right) but sometimes, we are like passing ships. When we do it, its always really good so no complaints there. I know we should both make more effort but just wondered if anyone else is the same?

Well since DS3 was born 14 months ago, DH and i have probably had sex about 5 times if that

my kids are older - 9, 7 and 5.

We probably get down to it once a weekm. mayve a little more ... hard as I have depression and my tablets stop me (ahem) appreciating the effort dh makes.

5-6 times a month? Prob about right!

About once every 3 weeks at the moment. My DH also works late and I have usually gone to bed whilst he's working. I won't lie to you- it's shite. So in answer to your question- not often enough.

Since dd was born 8 months ago until last week DP and I didn't do it AT ALL!

I was convinced my bits were broken and when we tried a few times it hurt like buggery so we stopped. After that I had a mental block about it I think.

Something has changed in the past few weeks though. Our mojo has come back with a vengance and we've done it probably 3/4 times a week

Long may it continue

(Oh and he says it's even better than before points whispers down there )

in my relationship its me that wants it more and DH who wouldnt care if we didnt do it for a year i reckon! currently we have it about once a month.......ideally i want it once a week.....must admit this is a real problem in our relationship!

thanks girls, its such a big change once children arrive (well, for most of us I would imagine, although there must be some out there who are the exception).

Main problem for me is that once we have a bit of jiggy jiggy then I tend to feel like it for quite a few nights running. But then, it wears off and we very often go for weeks, and weeks, and weeks without anything. DH has made a joke out of it and asked me to even it out a bit.

I think the ebb and flow you describe is totally normal marie. Both DP and I can go weeks just not fancying it and then have periods of serious action.

What's important is that even in the "dry" spells we never stop being cuddly so lots of hugs and kisses even when we're feeling too busy/tired/fat for nookie!

Usually once a week, but if DS in out during the day at weekends...then we have splendid Saturdays / Sundays !

Probably about 10 times a month. Ish. Depends on how bad the PMT is, how busy he is at work, and whether or not their is a small child having night terrors/throwing up

As often as possible . Seriously though, we go through feast and famine - DH sometimes works away during the week. Also, my drive is higher than his. Probably average twice a week, although I do have ways to entertain myself in between .

Sometimes once a month, sometimes 6 times. Very variable. I oblige him with a wank from time to time if I'm not in the mood and he is.

We agreed though that sex is important and never to deprive each other.

atm its on average every 2 weeks since dd2 born 8 months ago. im trying to aim for once a week but im too tired half the time and theres alot of money-related stress on too.

haha - yeah it's our FIRST anniversary in less than 2 weeks, how did you know?? (hehe)

I was 5 months pregnant when we wed so we are making up for the lack of sex for the first half year

RCB i would be delighted with up to 6 times a month after 15 years! Go you!

I suppose we average around 3 bonks a month. Is that good after 17 years? DH not so sure!!
