I don't believe it!!

So far today I have:

Got up at 0605 hrs with DS (5) after going to bed a 1am, DP got up at 0830am for work.

Followed DS everywhere all day as he has had diarrhoea and he hasn't been able to control himself, played games, done sticker books etc

Scrubbed bathroom top to bottom (skirting boards, the lot, not just a tickle)
tidied bedroom
hoovered bedroom
dusted bedroom
cleaned all glass tops in bedroom (on all cabinets/bedside tables etc)
hoovered hall/skirting boards
tidied and hoovered conservatory
3 loads of washing wash dried and put away.
and all the usual washing up, wiping sides, tidying, cleaning up poo etc.

Just been to sainbo's and asked DP to put shopping away, as I was trying to find a recorded super why for DS on sky....

he said
'yeah yeah i'll do it, I wont have any time for myself, you've done f**k all today'

I don't bloody believe it. I tried to walk him round to show him but he just started and I'm not arguing infront of DS.

go out

call a friend and have a nice drink/chat

then come home and ask your DH why he feels it acceptable to talk to you in that way and belittle you

is he usually like this?

He probably hasn't noticed it as it's all "invisible" work. he'd soon notice if you hadn't done all that.

maybe have a lie-in tomorrow and let him get up at 6am?

Learn to measure your activity, then the rest of us won't look so crap and you'll have no reason to act like a martyr.

Seriously, that's more than I would do in a day and to then be told I'd done F all all day would send me into a murderous rage. Is he usually this unreasonable?

Well he has shot himself in the foot as he won't be getting anything for a LONG time after saying that.

I don't expect a medal FGS, or even a thankyou, it is my house aswell after all, but the bathroom is bloody sparkling!

I'm sure he thinks things don't actually get dirty, but then again his Mother's house can be really minging.

Yes he can be unreasonable, and I must admit I have to let them go over my head as I will not argue in front of DS as much as is possible.

But it is when he is tired/stressed (he has a high pressure job and I'm sure he thinks he's the only one in the world who ever did a days work)

if i were you i would do f**k all tomorrow other than care for DS and let him see exactly how much you actually do during the day (which by the way is making the rest of us look REALLY bad ) then see the look on his face when he asks "darling what the hell happened?" and you reply "sweetheart remember you said yesterday that i do Fuck all? well today i did!
