Can someone help tell me what to do.

Went to friend's at the weekend and had too much to drink and told one of my closest friends that my dh fancied her (which he doesn't), but can't remember if I said it in a jokie kind of way or off-hand kind of way (can't remember much to be honest). Also not sure if her dh heard. Eek!

Don't know if to forget it and pretend it didn't happen or bring it up again and tell her he doesn't (which might be worse).

Help, I'm never drinking AGAIN!

Ignore it and it will go away. Don't worry, we've all been drunk twats at some point in our lives (well, most of us).

Why would you say that? Is there a sub conscious "my hubby fancies her" going on in your head? They do say drink speaks the truth although I'm not sure I believe that is true.

I'd probably just shut up about it and forget it.....or....say something like "my God, I bet I was talking some amount of crap on Saturday night, I'm mortified at how drunk I was, hope I didn't make an arse of myself" etc....

Pretend it never happened!

Thanks everyone, I think that's the best bet amnesia is always the best policy - you never know she might not remember either.

I think I said it as part of a bigger conversation about film stars but it's all a bit hazy.

Worst bit was my dh did hear me say it (he was the one who reminded me) and can't understand why I said it and feels a bit awkward. So did a proper job of it.
