I'm only 30 but feel like a 50 yr old. I have 3 very small kids and would anything for them but feel so unhappy in my marriage. He is an ok bloke. Wishing I hadn't settled for him.

Feel so sad every day knowing this is my lot.

God I widh I could talk to the girl I once was.

The gin and tonics I have had are not helping.

we all feel like that, trapped, wondering is this it.

The grass is not always greener, it is human nature to always want more, I think it is one of our biggest failings as a species.

I am no Brad Pitt, as people always use to mock me saying my DW could of done much better. And she may well of been able to.

I get the feeling you are probably Lonely, he takes you for granted, no spark left etc?

I think you only feel you settled for him as you feel crap now. I bet you didn't feel like that when you married him.

I am feeling the same way...but the toffee vodka is definitely helping!

Friend and I were complaining about our husbands when she said she often wonders how it would be if he dropped dead with a heart attack...I confessed I often thought about the same...isn't that terrible. Almost comicial really (if you have enough toffee vodka). A lot of us are in the same boat..I think men get very boring when they get older but women maintain their sense of fun which creates such a disparity.

No advice really, just try a different (stronger) drink! xx

Get out more,do more for yourself,spend time doing things you enjoy........,don't be a slave to your marriage!!

I know how you feel Irisheyes. I also have 3 DCs.My DH (although a good dad/husband) is turning into a right grumpy old fart(like his Dad). I'm 40 and keep thinking "is this IT?" - wondering what happened to the old me . Any suggestions anyone?

Feel awful and guilty for posting that now- ought to count my blessings.Should say 3 fantastic DC's....but....suppose we all think the grass is greener now and then.
