finding a man in later life

I've been married for 20 years but now I'm getting divorced. I can't imagine getting remarried - in fact I'm looking forward to living by myself. But if I were to want another relationship, what hope is there for a woman approaching 50? Or even older? Has anyone found love later in life?

By way of encouragement - my boss/mentor/friend-of-8yrs got married last May. I started working for her when both of us were recently out of long-term relationships (and recovering), and she worried about the same thing as you (age - finding love later on in life). Truth was, she loved her single life...she had lots of friends, had her independence and was always busy socializing, but she did want a companion/partner in the long-term. Then she met her DH through friends....

I'm 38 and she's 62. Both of us happily married now.

Thank you, that is indeed encouraging. And congratulations!
