How DO i tell them...??

Me and my DH have literally just clocked up 25 years of weeded -bliss-

I am currently having counselling, as I am seriously thinking of leaving him. I had doubts before we married, and although he is a good, kind man who loves me to bits, he is just not for me- I don't fancy him any more and we want different things out of life now.

My parents who are in their 80s have no idea. I told them we were not "celebrating" our 25th, but they have not even suggested that things might not be that rosy. I worry it would kill them as neither of them is in perfect health.

Has anyone found the best way to tell their families what is going on and limiting the damage?
