Can anyone recommend an online dating site?

Haha I must be coming across so desperate now I'm just sick of wasting my time so I'm going all out to meet as many decent people as possible. (Not shag them, you understand!)

So I'm currently using plenty of fish and it is SHITE. Don't really want to pay, I'm skint enough as it is.

I see love@lycos has gone ...

Can anyone recommend any sites?

Hi BW.

Sorry to sort of hijack your thread, but we are in the process of setting up an online dating thingy and maybe doing some singles events as well.

If you get a sec, can you tell me what you want in an online dating forummy thing?

(you can be our first customer when we get it up and running )

tia

On mumsnet? that would be cool!

Not sure what I'd look for really, but the meet-ups sound good. Its better to meet in groups rather than on your own anyway, less nerve wrecking.

What about organising speed dating events?

a few years ago a friend told me to 'look at some of the sad bastards' on friends reunited dating website. I was bored one day at work so did have a look and got 'chatting' to one of them. Exactly 5 months later I married him. That was 4 years ago and we now have DD aged 2.5 and DS aged 5 weeks.
It worked for me

I use match.com, not bad, but its about £60pa, I do not know any free ones if you want to be able to communicate.

OkCupid is pretty good, and the tests make you laugh if nothing else. I quite liked it, think I'm still on there in fact, looking for friends .
Good if you're bored one evening anyway...
