sex after birth

if you had a c section how quickly after birth did you resume your pre pregnancy level of sex and did you have the cot in your bedroom or a separate room?

10 weeks both times. I don't know if it was psychological or hormonal or what, but it was roughly after my first period after the birth that I suddenly felt like it again. Before that I couldn't even contemplate it.

Both my babies have slept in a moses basket/cot beside our bed and we have carried on regardless (obviously when they are asleep), or gone into the living room

To be honest, my sex drive took a bad dip after the birth of my first child 4 yrs ago and is only just starting to recover after the birth of my 2nd (for some reason it has come back with a vengeance after al this time?!).

Right, that's quite enough about my sex life!

Still not resumed prepregnancy amount of sex here, youngest is 3!!! but we are getting there.
They were in a moses basket and then cot in our room til at least 6mths, the youngest was there til he was nearly 2, it never interefeed with our sex life!

about 2.5 years after my emCS with DS1, but doesn't really count as DP and I had split when I was pregnant!

about six weeks after my elective CS

and not yet 13 weeks after the natural delivery of DS2, mainly due to lack of any urges but also because we are cosleeping as it's the only way to get some sleep and DH is on the sofa as he smokes.

tbh though, I don't think the mode of delivery makes a great deal of difference; for me breast feeding is a real libido killer and probably a lot to do with mother nature ensuring a decent gap between babies. I just don't have any urges at all when I'm BFing but would force myself if DH was in the bed as well and pushing for it.

Have kept all three of mine in beside us in a crib or cot for varying lengths of time. DD in a crib until about four months and she was sleeping through. DS2 mostly in the bed with me, butr we have a sidecar cot that he is spending more of the night in as we go on.

that probably didn't help much, sorry!!

and I don't think we have ever regained the level of sex we were having before the birth of DS1!

my (first) baby is 3 months just and has had bad colic still screaming when digesting her feeds which has been stressful for both of us. other half showed interest shortly after my return from hospital a few times but not really since then (typing this one handed babe in other arm!) i'm not sure i am really up for it myself but am aware of time going on and we havent really talked about it. strangely babe cries most during the day after feeds or before a nappy event and drops to sleep exhausted aroun 8pm waking feeding and fussing midnight till 7am. we usually were most frisky in the mornings before she was born so i guess that lack of opportunity is one reason

after emergancy csec with dd 3 months but elective with ds 2 weeks oops and babies were in travel cot at bottom of bed
