advice please it seems im stuck!

my husband has quit his job is not making enough effort to find another one and has told his workplace he wants to leave by feb halfterm. hes been hassling me into getting a better paid job but just walked out when i did the same and now isnt talking to me - surprise!
we moved to his parents 6 months ago, let our house out so we could pay off our debts and start agin. now it seems i cant leave him or get benefits because-
he quit his job so cant claim benefits
we have our own house so cant get housing benefit

how can i leave him and afford to make it on my own if i cant get housing benefit!
someone please give me some advice.

Are you sure about the benefits thing? Have you spoken to DoWP about your situation?

Also, how long has the house been let for? Could you give the new tenants notice and move back in there?

if you are on your own surely you would qualify for housing benefit?
could you ring CAB?

yep ive checked the housing benefit form and on the internet.the house has just been let so cant pull out of it plus i need the income.its a bit tricky at the moment as hes off for a few days so can only use the internet to check.

Could you stay with your parents for a while, even if it's to give you some headspace?
