As is says above, feel free to tell us about a single friend or you so lewis and I can match them up. Please say whether they or you are male/female, tell us why they/you are single, your/their good points and why you like them.

TIA

good idea, this! at least I'll bump it for you, can't think of any contenders just yet...

SuperBunny · 05/01/2009 00:50

Don't s'pose you have a flock of single men in the Chicago area, do you?

Must be: nice, sane, relatively pleasing to the eye but I'm not too picky.

scrooged · 05/01/2009 00:51

We're reliant on people nominating their friends and then we'll match them up. Know anyone?

andaSOLOnewyear · 05/01/2009 00:52

How many men do you know!!!!

andaSOLOnewyear · 05/01/2009 00:53

LOL! I've just seen how that looks!

I meant...If you got 100 single women applying...what would you do? do you know 100+ single eligible men?

scrooged · 05/01/2009 00:54

Umm. Nannynick's single

I only have single 18year olds on my course, there's 15 of them, all single. Lovely boys but too young for me. I have a couple of friends too but I wouldn't date them as one is nuts and the other isn't good with the girlfriends so gets through them like there's no tomorrow.

OP posts:
andaSOLOnewyear · 05/01/2009 00:55

That doesn't instill confidence scrooged!!!

SuperBunny · 05/01/2009 00:56

No, if I knew suitable single men, I wouldn't be looking for one!

scrooged · 05/01/2009 00:57

It depends how many people nominate. I'm hoping to get more single men signing up. I suppose you could sign up yourself and sign up a boyfriend you want to dump but havn't told or a single male/female. A bit like a clothes swap party just with hot men!

OP posts:
scrooged · 05/01/2009 00:58

Ahh, but there are some married people on here too, they must know some single people. They can sign them up.

OP posts:
andaSOLOnewyear · 05/01/2009 01:03

LOL! Men? pah!

scrooged · 05/01/2009 01:06

Your cynical after your last toad. If they are known to mnetters then at least they'll have a reference so it will be easier to weed the toads out.

OP posts:
andaSOLOnewyear · 05/01/2009 01:08

Cynical? Me? LOLOLOL!!!!!

scrooged · 05/01/2009 01:09

Yes dear! I'd be cynical if I dated your last toad.

if i ever get single again, i'm getting me a fuck buddy and being done with 'dating'.

scrooged · 05/01/2009 01:12

Good for you! Any single friends you wish to tell us all about?

OP posts:
Alambil · 05/01/2009 01:18

LOL you nutter!

scrooged · 05/01/2009 01:21

It's a fab idea don't you think? I remember watching an episode of sex and the city when one of them went to a party with a date/friend so they could introduce them to someone else they may hit it off with so they could dump them.

There must be 3000 people using this site, if we all fixed one person up there will be alot of matches.

everytime i think of when i was single, i think of Alanis Morrisette singing 'You Oughta Know'.

that about sums up my relationships with American men.

f*ck that!

if i were single again, now with kids, i'd go for the money and keep Bob, my battery-operated boyfriend, on the side.

anyone else who didn't measure up, quite literally, could just go the kerb.

and i'm not a bad-looking woman for my age.

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 05/01/2009 01:34

"f i ever get single again, i'm getting me a fuck buddy and being done with 'dating'. "

that's what my BF said when she was single with 3 kids (2 girls and boy as it happens ) - 13yrs down the line and she's been re-married for 11yr and has 2 more children

scrooged · 05/01/2009 01:36

I used to play that on the juke box over and over again in a pub where an ex used to work. It was a very long time ago though. I'm very pickey, I'd rather be single than have a pathetic git making the place look untidy.

Any sexy men for this thread?

well, hell, FAQ, that maybe explains why i was married again before teh ink was barely dry on my divorce papers .

they were signed and sealed in August of one year and i was married at the end of May of the next.

and in between there was some action.

the last before DH told me to 'go home'.

yeah, well, why don't you go FUCK yourself, is all i said in return.

i was married less than a month later.

expatinscotland · 05/01/2009 01:39

7 years on, i'm still laughing!

he every now and again re-surfaces, the LOSER.

he's living with some dumb gal. he calls her 'the good lady'. i wonder if she knows that?

who cares? if she's dumb enough to hang with a twat like him, she has it coming.

i remember the extreme pleasure i got in telling him i was marrying DH, whom he knew in a roundabout way.

he exclaimed, 'that kid?!'

i said he was more a man than he was.

haaahaaa.

scrooged · 05/01/2009 01:39

Good for you!

seriously, scrooged, life is too short to put up with BS unless they're a) a really good fuck b) they got a lot of money and are a semi-decent good fuck.

otherwise, hello?

don't need this!

i was there, too.

i used to think i was nothing without a man.

boy, was i dumb!
