Dp and I have had a difficult 2008 ( and 2007 and 2006!) and I am alays whinging about him so I want to say

That he is wonderful. We have been going to counselling and working on our relationship and dp has returned to being the man I fell in love with.

Today he cleaned the whole house, bought me breakfast in bed and earlier he ran me a bath and filled the bathroom with candles.

I am not gloating ( well not much) but we have come such a long way and I wanted to redress the balance of all my whingey posts about him.

I am so pleased for you. Our year has been one of 're-discovering' each other and I am so pleased that things have worked out for us too. My DDDH and I have both become something of what we were when we first met all those years ago, but also, we have become something more I think. I don't know how to describe it, but I know that our hard work this year has helped us see that we are so strong together and it sounds like that has happened for you too. Without wanting to sound smug about it, I do think it shows what can be achieved when both partners really want to work things out.

You are entitled to gloat, in my humble opinion.

Thankyou Harley and Chasingsquirrels. I did think until quite recently that we had not future. We are by no means fully out of the woods but we are getting there.
