Xmas - a parellel universe?

Most of my life is how I imagined it would be but I have just spent Xmas with a grumpy dh over reacting to every comment my Mum makes while my inlaws have pontificated endlessly about the doom and gloom in the world, the economy, the environment, how children are brought up etc etc!

They are never going to fly again (carbon footprint) and I have now just watched "You've been framed" with my dds in hysterics with (step) mil (no children of her own) muttering about how boring it is, she doesn't understand how anyone would find other people's misfortune funny and how irresponsible it is to let children watch it!

How did I get involved with these people?!

Just fancied a rant! Happy Xmas

Swop you - one narky, negative Mother for all your unwanted relatives? Go on, I'll throw a bottle of decent red in with her - please - I am getting desperate.

Happy Christmas to you, too, especially with some people making it a really hard going.

ARRRGH and breathe!
