The other night dh and me had a few glasses of vino and he started getting amourous. Now I have started threads on our lack of sex life or rather my loss of libido-anyway,when he suggested getting down to it(I was on mumsnet at the time which he doesnt like!)I said without thinking(but not meaning it like it did)...
"I'M NOT DRUNK ENOUGH.........."!!!!!!
You see, we only tend to get jiggy after a skinful. I now feel really, really, really bad about this-I just didnt mean it and I know it will be used as ammo in any future arguements we may have on our sex life.
How can I approach him tactfuly, what can I say to make him feel loved and wanted and still fancied????

To be a little serious dropinthe (and I obviously don't know your husband and your relationship) but us blokes don't tend to be as sensitive about these things. I am constantly amazed when having heated discussions how my dw can remember one-off flippant statements that I made (some pre-date the Thatcher era) whereas I struggle to remember hurtful comments from the morning. Maybe just laugh it off? Is that possible?

dropinthe · 23/03/2005 13:31

He's extremely good at remembering those heated one off statements-perhaps,even years later!!
