I found out about 10 months ago that my boyfriend was not divorced but still going through it. His ex wife contacted me at work, as she could not get hold of him (long story, yes she could call him but chose to make a louder statement!).

Eventually they went to file for the divorce, but that was nearly 9 months ago and now I?m wondering how long before his divorce is granted. We can?t really move on as a couple as I?m quite traditional and would much prefer it?s all sorted out before Christmas, or at least new year!

Depends what reason they are using to get the divorce.
If it is adultery it can move quite quickly, if they are using 2 years separation they have to wait for that to be up before getting the divorce.
Once it all goes through they will be granted a decree nisi, if nothing is appealed against the decree absolute (final, legal divorce) should be granted 6 weeks after
Does that help? What has your bf said?
