I've never really understood before but does this scenario sound like pa?

X "DC and I are going to Blah "
Y "Oh. Would have been nice to have been asked."
X "Do you want to come?"
Y "Not the point. It would have been nice to have been asked."
X "But do you want to come"
Y "No!" Very loud shout.

So is X being passive-aggressive?

But then they are shouting, so perhaps just aggressive-aggressive?

Yeah, but not serious PA behaviour. Not unless the conversation left you feeling worried and shaken. I'd just ignore that sort of sulkiness.

He does that sort of thing a lot - first time I've ever got him to admit that actually he didn't want to do it anyway. Who would? It's a sort of swampy farm place with trampolines....

I wasn't worried or shaken (well perhaps a bit worried as DH is a marathon sulker) so much as cross.

Marathon sulking is passive aggressive!
