What...the pan too heavy to lift over your head and bring it down on your mil's?

Put your head between your legs, count to ten then try again.

MumToJaydenAndArmani · 12/11/2008 21:17

I'd like to think my MIL would do all that stuff if she could only sort out her 'old lady' attitude.

Weeteeny · 12/11/2008 21:21

I am worried because one day i will be an evil mil, I have two boys and no one will EVER be good enough ...........honestly I can see it happening

ooh I have just seen that other thread, I'm off to start my training

Pheebe · 12/11/2008 21:39

My MIL has done exactly that on several occasions ...she's great and I am quite aware one in a million...I aspire to be like her when my boys find their partners...

gawdelpus · 12/11/2008 22:08

If you have had a wonderful MIL then you are better equipped to be one I think.

My mother has been truly horrendous to my brother's wife but sweetness and 'old lady' light to my sister's H.

But then she's a shit to my brother too.

She's also control freakery and criticial when it comes to my sister's children, so my sister's H actually loathes her and just tolerates her 'sweet old lady' crap while actually he wouldn't piss on her if she was on fire.

I mean families. ffs.

My own MIL is a toxic critical snob and a shagger. But then thankfully she lives in another country.

Maybe that makes her one in a million too?

I am missing something here...Why is this so funny?

gawdelpus · 12/11/2008 22:16

It just, momentarily, got slightly unfunny.

What did the barman say to the horse...
