Have you ever lost it and stormed out of the house in a strop?

????
Dh thinks it constitutes extreme, Eastenders-style behaviour. I think it is immature and a bit silly () but lots of people have done this at some time, haven't they?

You see if my dh had just made me a cup of tea and said 'There, there' when I came downstairs in the first place I wouldn't have needed to storm off. Time of the month question might have escalated things rather.

Kerry - are you ok??

so true, a cup of tea sorts most things out...instead of trying to be all quiet and mysterious if they'd only mumble a bit and put the kettle on there wouldn't be any reason to stomp off in the first place.....

souroldtrout - when I storm out, I tend to kiss DD and tell her I'm off to go get dinner / go to the shop / see a friend. Then I pass DH, glare at him, and strop off.
DD isn't fussed, so long as somebody reads her a bedtime story.

That's an excellent response. As long as your dh is actually unreasonable, not just infuriatingly reasonable, which is equally annoying

oh all the time...sometimes with the children...but usually alone.

i have most recently huffed orf to the cinema at tea time on a sunday eve.

on another occassion i went to my friend's house around the corner....however i parked across her drive and WEIRDLY her neighbour called the police on their behalf without asking!!...anyway thi sended up with dp calling me on my mobile to say that the police had rung because i had parked badly ....

hardly the mysterious huff i was after.

though as someone said it is really worryig for those left at home...my son said 'it made me feel frightened'....

LadyBabo · 29/10/2008 22:24

Have moderated my stropping style tonight...
(Through gritted teeth) "I'm going to the shop"
Gave up that idea 5 mins doen the road.
Didn't want anything from the shop.
Too bloody cold anyway.
