I don't know what is quite happening here but.. Today, there Iam browsing in Primark(the only shop I can afford to buy clothes in)and some poor lad had his fingers caught in the lift. I just thought >>>>>>>>>>>. Anyway, about six months ago I was in another primark store when all of a sudden there was upraw.
. It turns out that a litle girl had fallen down the escalator whilst being in her buggy, it was horrible. I can't go back to sore. I also read that something happened to some poor child in Liverpool in a store over the holidays.Primark, take note improve your health and safety.....

blimey!its karma.

charliechew · 03/10/2008 21:14

No offence cheese sarnie, but I don't think its quite karma- as that would have meant that the poor girl in the pushchair would have done something wrong-not a nice thing to see. Think you need to be more complacent-if you know that means>>>>

i was in primark for the first time ever this week.

some little girl (around 7) was jumping up and down on the handrail of the escilater and her told told her if she did it again he would kick her right in the side of the head

did cross my mind though that there was a big drop behind the handrail.

glitterstar88 · 03/10/2008 21:25

The screws holding the glass panels in place on the third floor of Primark at Lakeside are loose, right next to all the baby and young childrens clothes, did notify staff but i doubt they have done anything. That shop tends to be a bit of a health hazard anyway with clothes and hangers all over the place just waiting to be tripped over. Last time i went in there my DS who is 2.5yrs old was complaining how messy it was lol

cheesesarnie · 03/10/2008 21:30

'Think you need to be more complacent-if you know that means' umm yes actually charliechew i do.thankyou though for making sure i do.why are you adressing me as though im thick?

i am really very sorry.ofcourse the poor girl in the pushchair hadnt done anythingwrong.

expatinscotland · 03/10/2008 21:30

why is this in relationships?

charliechew · 03/10/2008 21:32

You are all right, its a a health and safety hazzard............ I love the place normally, but I just think there is something very wrong with HEALTH AND SAFETY. I mean,I hardly go into the place as I never get the chance and this happens>>>>>>>>

MamaG · 03/10/2008 21:32

what an odd thread, all round!

charliechew · 03/10/2008 21:37

Cheese sarnie,i'm not implying that you are thick, but honestly I was horrified as I hardly go into the store, a i never get the chance, and in the time that I have been there the so called occurences have happened. I can't go in again,as something seems to happen when I'm there. Primark need to look at their Health and safety.

expatinscotland · 03/10/2008 21:39

um, okay

AuraofDora · 03/10/2008 21:39

at our local branch the manageress was sticking out her foot to trip up customers after they had paid
one assistant was rolling loose screws from the displays on the floor encouraging unwatched toddlers to eat them

uber karmaric.. they dont like their customers much am not going back unless i need to this saturday

cheesesarnie · 03/10/2008 21:39

so why the 'if you know what the means>>>>>'?

Lilyloo · 03/10/2008 21:40

Primark ? Relationships

expatinscotland · 03/10/2008 21:41

it's just like the twilight zone>>>>>>>>>but not.

Fadge · 03/10/2008 21:43

Pushchairs shouldn't be on escalators anyway, nothing to do with Primark's H&S as all escalators have the signs on saying so - more to do with parents stupidity and poor child paying for it in this instance

Cappuccino · 03/10/2008 21:44
cheesesarnie · 03/10/2008 21:45

what does >>>> mean though(maybe i am actually very thick).

ruddynorah · 03/10/2008 21:45
Hmm
charliechew · 03/10/2008 21:47

honestly, I'm generally worried about Primark's attitude towards H&S. I've only been in a few times, and I'm worried... that's all.

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 03/10/2008 21:48

why is this in relationships?

charliechew · 03/10/2008 21:49

I don't know, does it matter?

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 03/10/2008 21:51

Um, yes, because the Relationships topic was started for people to discuss their interpersonal relationships, not their relationships with large corporate retail chains.

Perhaps take up your concerns with the Head Office by writing them a letter?

Remotew · 03/10/2008 21:52

What a weired thread, I'm sure there are incidents in plenty of other stores too. I personally don't like shopping there as it reminds me of a jumble sale but still.
