I don't know what is quite happening here but.. Today, there Iam browsing in Primark(the only shop I can afford to buy clothes in)and some poor lad had his fingers caught in the lift. I just thought >>>>>>>>>>>. Anyway, about six months ago I was in another primark store when all of a sudden there was upraw.
. It turns out that a litle girl had fallen down the escalator whilst being in her buggy, it was horrible. I can't go back to sore. I also read that something happened to some poor child in Liverpool in a store over the holidays.Primark, take note improve your health and safety.....

Oh good, the weird Primark relationships thread is back.

Nemofish · 12/07/2010 01:44

I haven't read the whole thread as I am too complacent.

I now get to say my first 'arf.' Arf.

Thank you for all your helpful advice.

I think I will try your questioning Shades and see if she can at least admit there is a problem. I am concerned as my DD is due to go for a play day soon. How can I be sure that she won't try and tempt her. Thats how it starts isn't it...'look at that little bag for only £3.00... One bag won't hurt. I could even buy it for you..'
Before you know it you are looking at their website and not even noticing that the wollens feel like cardboard.

Its so sad.

AHAHA!!! This thead is hilarious!

Have to say, Primark was an absolute god-send to us. In our darkest hour of need, Primark was there. Amen.

I really like how they dont advertise at all, and all their savings go towards lower prices. They have grown slowly and organically over the years, up from the grass roots. They allow people to retain a sense of pride in their appearance, even if times are hard.

Like anyone or anything, it is possible to criticise. They take some flak because they look after those who are not rich/powerful/glamorous... but I love them.

SolidGoldBrass · 12/07/2010 15:25

I think you should mount a protest immediately, mentalist OP. Nip back in there and shit in all the handbags or something.

ShadeofViolet · 12/07/2010 17:36

If you did, Primark would probably stick a tag on your turd and try and sell it. It would blend in with all the crap they have in there.

Nemofish · 12/07/2010 19:10

I once rearranged a hair piece in a pair of knickers so it looked like a small minge wig display...

I posted on this first time round (but had no recollection of doing so.

I have nothing more to add.

I try to avoid our Primark tbh, for reasons which have already been mentioned by others. (and nothing to do with me being unwilling to keep my own dcs safe around escalators and/or lifts)

Incidentally it is not just Primark. In M&S my 6 year old was just behind me...I stepped on the escalator. She chickened out and was left behind. Could have been nasty but a lovely mature lady sized up the situation and lifted her on and smiled at my profuse thanks. Should I write and complain to M&S

CaptainKirksNipples · 12/07/2010 19:36

A little girl fell between the gap in the escalator and the glass at our shit local H&M. Our Primark is very tidy and all on one level. You should stop going to your one!

at thread tis very odd

My mistake, she got squashed she didn't fall [http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Escalator+trap+girl+saved+by+fireman.%28News%29-a0144266797 here]
