Boys or Men??

well, I fall into the youngish single mums category.

I'm 23, father of my ds is nearly 30....

TRYING to v slowly see what guys are out there but it's damn hard whn got a solid picture in your mind of what you want - & it's largely your ex even though he's evil & was no good for you in a million ways!!!

All the guys I'm meeting seem to be around my own age, & just seem like little boys compared to my ex. Some have a lot of 'potential' for the future & are much nicer guys than my ex ever was/is.....but are 23 year old guys just boys? And are men better or a load more hassle?

have been married to someone my age, and in the last year dated someone who was 10 years older, 13 years older and currently 2 years older. out of all of them the older ones made me feel more 'grown up' and 'sophisticated' but on the other hand they were nobs! my current beau is 2 years older and is ready for the level I want - which is nice, he's deffo more of a 'man' than even the ones who were a hell of a lot older.

also helps my folks love him & think he's fab!

men my age (26) typically are after one thing & are well not mature enough for me. my X is now with was cheating with a 20 year old - they seem well suited - in her eye's he's mr maturity - the truth is he's pathetic n so not at all!

It depends on the man. or the boy.

My dp is 8 years older than me, but young looking (best of both worlds )

I think that there are some very mature scrumptious 20 somethings and 30 somethings so I suggest you are very thorough and broad in your sampling.

I think the guy I went on a date with the other day, who was only 23, is very mature for his age....whilst my ex is possibly the most immature 30yr old, with a PROPER Peter Pan complex, so like Spandex said...prob better suited to his 17 yr old OW!!! I can be rather intense .

But yeah....nice 23 yr old guy LOOKS very young & baby faced (plus he's a lil shorter than me) which I dont think helps. And def agree about older men making you feel more sophisticated and grown up!!!
