Counting blessings!

I know we all whinge about our dh's on here, and I certainly have my moments but thought I should share something nice about mine for a change!
Am 35wks pregnant with first and went last night to "partners evening" at Parentcraft classes. We split into groups of "boys" and "girls" to discuss what each set thought we would like / expect the men to take on to make the first few months easier. I have to say I was v. impressed as I heard my dh come up with things like "look after her emotionally" and "do housework without being asked" and also could hear the health visitor's surprise at the fact we already share cooking etc.
Some of the other men apparently had never even picked up an iron before........ frightening.
Sometimes we don't realise what a good bloke we have!
Sorry if this sounds really gushy, but thought he deserved a bit of praise!

Nice to know that even Health Visitors can be suprised by this.

Mine is a good one too, he does lots of the housework, irons his own shirts etc etc, i think sometimes i take him for granted, but every now and again i do something which makes us realise how lucky we are to have each other, there are plenty of good ones out there, we do tend to concentrate on the negative things.

Mine too is wonderful - sure he has his moments. But he readily helps with dd and does his fair share of cooking and hoovering although I am a sahm now and he works long hours at times. He always tells me he loves me and tells dd how lucky they are to have me and what a good mum I am.

I'm really lucky to have mine as well, he does not do ironing or hoovering(his excuse is that he hasn't got the "balance"???), but he does do all the cooking, food shopping and takes equal shares in child care(we both work part time).
He is a brilliant Dad and will happily wander off round Tesco's, with three kids( 2x4yo DS's,his DD8yo), and return home looking completely calm, not having raised his voice once.
On top of this he is my best friend and makes me laugh all the time. In fact, what am I doing on Mumsnet, when I could be cuddled up to him watching the TV right now!!!!Oh yes, he's also very sexy !!!!
