We went on a night out last night with my sister and her new boyfriend. Towards the end of the night her boyfriend and DP was a bit drunk.

Her boyfriend went into the toilets in the last pub and DP went in after him and all of a sudden her boyfriend emmerged shouting "he tried to look at my willy everyone!" DP told him to "shut the f*ck up" me and my sister tried to make a joke out of it but my DP was fuming and refused to let it drop and when we got outside it almost turned into a fight. DP said he didn't want people thinking he was a "faggit" and her boyfriend said "you shouldn't have looked then" etc etc...

This morning I recieved a text from sister who said my DP was out of order for taking it so seriously and getting violent. I can see both sides, if it was a genuine joke (and it didn't seem like one at the time) then I can see DP could have reacted better but on the other hand, wouldn't most blokes be pissed off being accussed of looking at other men?

her BF was an immature twat but your DH reacted like a homophobic div.
Neither of them come off very well. I wouldn't be pissed off with your sister as your DH was as stupid as hers, but tell her you think her DH was a twat if it will make you feel better.

I agree they both acted stupidly but sister seems pissed off with me

IME men are a bit funny about the whole toilet thing - eyes straight ahead and all that. I don't think your DH is homophobic by being pissed off, I'd say most men would be. Sounds like a very crap way to try to get a laugh if you ask me. Your DH probably didn't handle it very well but I'm not surprised and don't blame him.
