anyone out there who has loads more sex drive than their other half ? what do you do? am feeling somewhat unloved although he says he does fancy me. know that i am slim and attractive, its not like i am ugly or overweight. dp understands that the problem lies with him and gets very defensive bout whole thing. it is so frustrating in more ways than one.think if i could get my hands on some Viagra would pop some in his tea !

Neither of us have very high sex drives really.
WE are always far too knackered!!!

MINNIE1 · 08/02/2005 14:59

Gwenick · 08/02/2005 16:00

Used to be me - but with the sudden onset of Vaginismus after having DS1 his quickly over took mine - actually thinking about it not quite sure how we ended up with having DS2 - still quite shocked about that.

MINNIE1 · 08/02/2005 16:00

What will happen if and when i have kids (hopefully soon)

MINNIE1 · 08/02/2005 16:01

Spose it's dp but things have got LOADS better since I stopped bfing. It was like someone had turned the switch back on. Apparently bfing releases hormones that supress the libido - for v good biological reasons, I'm sure, but a right pain if you have a once a nighter gnashing away next to you .
Maltesers - I think it sounds like your dp def has a problem, especially as he was once so keen. The way he reacts whenever you try and talk about it is also a big clue, obviously touching a very sensitive nerve there. Lots of things can lower sex drives in men; being overweight, stress, depression etc. Relate has sex therapists (I know, my Mum was one), you could suggest it? He will probably go through the roof but it could be a starting point - things have got so serious that you feel you both need help?

maltesers · 09/02/2005 13:47

thanks cha, we did see a relate councillor bout relationship in general, and we did breeze over this problem, but since then dp has done nothing to improve it. he is the stressed, depressive, angry type so think its all related. somehow think things will never change, and know if he was the one dying for it he would do something !

sex drive ??? I don't think i have one and haven't had for the last 9 years....wish i could solve that problem as it causes a BIG stress

jollymum · 09/02/2005 22:19

bonkerz-do you have kids? Where and when do you do it, how do you have the energy and how old are your kids? I rarely feel the urge and have to admit, when we were TTC, years ago, knew I was not as keen as I should be but it was a means to an end (IYKWIM)
