perhaps they are trying to save you a job?

colditz · 12/07/2008 16:57

presuming your dh is your ds's dad, I'm afraid he can do as he pleases with his son's hair.

MadamAnt · 12/07/2008 17:00

Is it his first ever cut? If so, then I'd be miffed too.

If not, then...meh. Not a big deal really.

Oh dear... unless you know she's been angling for him to get a crew cut or something

Litterbug · 12/07/2008 17:03

Im not speaking to her, that why I'm pee'd.

I can just imagine her saying 'he really should have his hair cut you know son'

blah, blah, blah ...

Im bitter today, i have a cold and I'm tired, snotty and bitter.

Do you like your DS's hair long? I probably would want to be quite specific about the type of cut as I am not keen on very sort hair on little boys (only my preference tho')

izyboy · 12/07/2008 17:06

lol bitter - know that feeling!

Litterbug · 12/07/2008 17:11

Arghh, i was so busy being angry at MIL i didn't even think he could come home with a bowl cut!!

Hooplala · 12/07/2008 17:17

YANBU. You should be consulted in advance.

Colditz what a cold legal post! And somewhat contradictory, as by your own rule one could also argue that as DS is OP's son, SHE has the right to do as she pleases re DS hair therefore she pleases not for it to be cut today without consultation. .

Litterbug · 12/07/2008 17:57

He wouldn't have it done.

I knew he would freak!

OP posts:
prettyfly1 · 12/07/2008 18:26

colditz · 12/07/2008 19:00

SenoraPostrophe · 12/07/2008 19:06

I see the op is now resolved. I was going to point out that hair grows back.

prettyfly1 · 12/07/2008 19:08

lol - colditz you are funny.

izyboy · 12/07/2008 19:44

Alls well that ends well, lol

morningpaper · 12/07/2008 19:49

lol @ colditz

you women are mad

I would be over the moon if any adult took responsibility for my toddler's haircut

MsDemeanor · 12/07/2008 20:06

My dh often takes ds for a haircut. Admittedly I tend to go into 'my god that boy needs a haircut' for a few weeks in advance, but he tends to take him to the barbers on a whim. Great. I know he's not going to get tramlines cut in or anything appalling.
I do think yabu.
