He's cheating isn't he?

Partner of 4 years cheated 2 years ago. I caught him sexting her. He had cheated in his previous partner with same woman. Woman is related to his ex partner. When I caught him 2 years ago he had picked up a distinctive laugh. Anyway a few weeks ago he took his old phone out of storage and it's been on his desk for weeks. He hasn't used his smart watch in about a year but has suddenly decided he wants to wear it again. I caught him 2 years ago via the watch. At weekend he did the same laugh. I said absolutely nothing. Later that day he brought it up saying oh, you know that laugh you hate. I noticed my daughter does it. He said that 2 years ago but cited a different daughter. Obviously he swears there's nothing going on. Weekend was a blow up and now he's booked a trip away and is being extra lovely.

Have I stumbled into an episode of Jeremy Kyle?

FrogsAtDawn · 21/10/2026 23:13

You shouldn’t have even given him a chance. Anyone willing to cheat on their wife with their wife’s sister has no morals.

Wants me gone. Was so evil with words. Fine.

Don’t worry, you’ll be so much happier without that man in your life holding you back, you deserve much better. Big hugs 🤗

He is angry because you found him out and he is no longer in control of the situation.

I am glad you have support 💐

here lies your problem

why on earth have you accepted this behaviour and now given him a green light to do it again as he will think you’ll forgive him again

I do wonder about the logic of some posters on here, show yourself some respect and get rid

Gonk123 · Yesterday 06:05

All a bit volatile..but presumably you knew why he split with ex? Why get involved with a man capable of that!

Hope you got away safely OP x

@Notahappybunny22 hopefully you're out of there now and can begin the healing process. Good luck i hope you find someone who will love you properly and treat you the way a woman should be treated.

He has a track record. You don't trust him. The relationship is unlikely to to work out without trust, whether he actually cheated this time or not. So make a decision about what you actually want to do. You could try counselling but that requires an acknowledgement for both of you that you both want to save and improve the relationship. Otherwise, if not, you are both wasting each others time

The engagement ring is legally a gift and your property. That said, I'd probably consider it worth the loss to be free of this absolute prince among men. WTF were you thinking being with an unattractive man who shagged his wife's sister?

willowwisssp · Today 10:09

OP this guy is a scumbag sleaze. You know it, we all know it and he has proved it.

Fuck him off, move on and find someone who is worthy of your time, love and attention because this guy isn’t that. Once a cheat always a cheat, leopards never change their spots!

Oh ffs, stop going on about the laugh and dump him. He’s already humiliated you by cheating on you two years ago, you knew he had a track record of cheating on his previous partner with one of her relatives. Why would you even entertain the idea of a relationship with him at all?

This!! Why is he not dumped already?!
