Anyone else's partner snore? How do you deal with it?
Ive always struggled with the sound of snoring, it hurts my ears and I find it irritating. My boyfriend is a snoreer. Last night I ended up having to sleep on the sofa it was just so bad. I can't use ear plugs in case it stops me from hearing my alarm. Headphones I only use over head headphones so that's not really much of an option either. I love this man so much but I'm struggling with his snoring. It's not quite either

Unless he has seen a doctor, he can help it. My DH has sleep apnoea and on the rare occasions he doesn't wear his CPAP the snoring is unbelievable. He also has polyps that cannot be surgically removed due to other health complications. It is unbelievably loud without his CPAP. We do also have separate rooms due to his health conditions but if he hadn't investigated his issue and received treatment it would be more like separate houses....!! It can be heard through the walls without the mask.

My boyfriend can be heard from other rooms as well. Going to remind him tomorrow to call the doctors, he'll feel so much better for it in the long run

Male snorer here. It's not as easy as you might think to get help.

I'm not overweight, don't drink, don't smoke, and sleep on my side. Despite this, my snoring can be heard in neighbouring rooms or those on a different floor. My partner is fairly sure that I have sleep apnoea.

Have tried oral devices without success, and didn't score highly enough on the 'daytime tiredness' assessment at a GP consultation to warrant a referral, so feel a bit stuck. I'll try one of the electronic devices before going back, armed with recordings.

I'm so sorry to hear your not getting the help you needs
We've just ordered a anti snore strap for him to wear and a headband bluetooth earphones for me. So hopefully these will help

I feel your pain. My dh snored really badly for years, and it was only on the 3rd GP appointment that he got a referral. On that occasion he said the magic words ‘sleep apnoea’ and that made all the difference from saying my wife says I snore badly. He now has a c pap machine and our marriage is intact, it was defintely in danger before this!
