Dunno where to put this so try here - how long did your "pregnancy amnesia" last ?

Sorry I expect this is the wrong board, but here goes.

I have just been watching a recorded program with DH about the SA cricketer who was found out to have been fixing matches - Hansie Cronje.

I remember DH talking about it in some detail at the time and me responding in a "yes dear" sort of way.

I was astounded at the end of the documentary to find out that Cronje died in a plane crash in June 2002 !!

That was complete news to me. My only explanation is that perhaps DD was only 6 months old at the time and that's why I had forgotten. But, still, DH is such a cricket fan I am sure he would have gone on about it enough for it to be embedded in my cranium, new baby or no new baby.

So how long has everyone else's brain-fade lasted?

hmmm
I think it never really went away actually.

DD is 6 and I am nowhere near as sharp as I used to be. At work it is fine, I have 100% concentration. Outside work - hopeless.

Until Menopause sets in, then it gets worse.

BalloonSlayer · 09/06/2008 21:32

My best so far is on the motorway when DS1 was a small baby.

I was only a passenger (just as well) - had the following train of thought:

"That's a nice car . . . what is it? Oh, a Suzuki. Oh . . . I thought they only made motorbikes, not cars. [Pause] . . . Oh of course they make cars, BS, don't be so stupid . . . [Further pause] Oh yeah . . . My car's a Suzuki."
