How many times per week?

Settle a debate for me please. If you're married or have been in a long term relationship for 20 years or more, how many times per week are you having se x?

Would like to see for myself but also demonstrate to my husband that I'm not abnormal.

20 years together and we are now at 2-3 times a month. Last year it was much less with his ED and heart issues and my menopause took my libido away. However we stayed close, during that fallow period. He had successful heart op, I added testosterone to my hrt and we rely on the little blue pills for certainty. We very much make the most of each time and it’s as good as the early days even though it lacks in spontaneity I’m glad we got to this point.

I’m 56, He’s 63 and we have two teenagers, elderly dependent parents and full on full-time jobs.

We really haven't had enough and it's not going to change now.

My friends are all similar. All very little now. All still married though.

I’m amazed that all your friends are still married. All first time?

Yes - all been married 25 years plus. Some 30 years plus, affairs, lots of trauma’s, death, cancers, ED etc. Life really.

After 23 years, still at least 3 times week, sometimes a lot more, its a lot less than in the early years though .

Via research the averge time is 2-3 times per week.

I’m always dubious of this type of research. Nobody has ever stopped me in the street with a clip board and said “excuse me but…” 😀

Neither have I 😃 although I usually go out of my way to avoid people with clipboards

I hadn’t seen my partner for 2 weeks as I had been away, within 2 hours of seeing each other we were having sex and did so a further 3 times in our 48 hour window. We will be back to regularly being together after tomorrow and I am really looking forward to having more sex. It’s not just the sex I enjoy but feeling desired and that someone is choosing me. Even when life has been very stressful we have managed once a week at least, it’s always been something that’s kept us close.

I generally find that if we’ve had sex, I want more sex. If we don’t for a while for whatever reason then I lose all interest and wouldn’t care if we never had it again. So our pattern tends to be a lot for a week then nothing for a while then a lot again.

I agree , the more I have the more I want however the only times we haven’t had regular sex is if I’ve been away. We were both gagging for it after 2 weeks without. There were lots of sexual messages flying about in the lead up to being together.

I have much more when l’m not in a one long term partner type situation. That can lead to a rut.

My DP always wanting sex, things have never changed there. We are quite open minded about sex, hes brought me quite a few sex toys as well so when he isnt around my wand gets plenty of use
