I offered to take a friends 6 year old daughter to karate tonight as her mum was busy. She has taken my kids many times so it was a way of re-paying the favour.

Anyway we got there ok then after karate I packed all my stuff up, got my kids and left...I TOTALLY forgot about her .

I was just about to walk out the door and I heard her panicked voice shouting "stop, wait!" and she was running with her shoes falling off

I feel awful, if she hadn't of had the sense to rush and catch me up I would have left her then what would have happened??

Not worth thinking about, she did stop you. Loads of people do things like that, but nothing happened so try to push it to the back of your mind.

I know loads of friends who have done that.
I was left with a girl once who was going home with someone else but didnt know their number - when i phoned the parents they had both had too much wine to collect her so i took her home.
Try and find the funny side and remember nothing bad happened.

You wouldn't have forgotten her. You would have hit fresh air outside and remembered. Trust your brain, its amazing, it would have remembered.

Everyone makes mistakes, and there was no malice in it. Don't be so hard on yourself - to err is human

My xh used to regularly take our daughter to ballet, go to see his OW, then forget to bring dd home from ballet on his way back.

See ...it can happen to anyone
