Help, I just split up with my p now what?

After many problems me and dp have decided to split up, he has gone to stay at his parents whilst I stay in our house, I dont know if we will work things out or not but I need advice on what happens if this is final. We have a mortgage which I couldnt afford (or get)on my own, my part time salary wouldnt stretch that far. Any advice we be appreciated

Yes my ds is 13 months, which makes this so much harder I really dont want him to be from a broken home. No matter what happens between us I will never have a problem with my p seeing ds as much as often as he wants and I know my P will do whatever he has to to keep a roof over our head but hes not going to want to stay at his parents for long and would probably end up renting with a freind but theres no way he could pay rent aswell as our mortgage.

he's going to have to pay some maintenance for the child and you may need to sell the home and then divide the proceeds of the sale.
