  1. It's important to find a man who works around the house, occasionally cooks and cleans, and who has a job.
  2. It's important to find a man who makes you laugh.
  3. It's important to find a man who's dependable, respectful and doesn't lie.
  4. It's important to find a man who's good in bed and loves to have sex with you.
  5. It's important that these four men never meet.

  1. He cooks, and has a job - 2 out of 4, not bad, but not great
  1. Makes me laugh but also very good at making me cry too
  1. Not dependable, not respectful and lies lots - only little white lies but still!
  1. check
  1. Can you imagine having to cope with 4 of them! I think I'd rather be single

Does this man exist?

  1. It's important to find a man who makes you laugh.

Can I keep my fab friends for this?

  1. It's important to find a man who's dependable, respectful and doesn't lie.

My kitty fulfills this, and has a tickly ginger belly too!

  1. It's important to find a man who's good in bed and loves to have sex with you.

Check!

  1. It's important that these four men never meet.

My cat peed on no.4's very expensive jacket, so would definately second point number .5!

This really made me smile!

HaventSleptForAYear · 29/05/2008 19:51

After feeling sorry for myself recently about DH and I fighting, I find I have:

  1. check (putting nappy wash on as we speak, built a patio last summer)
  1. hmmm, like fruitynutty tears and laughter here at the moment
  1. definitely check
  1. check for the 2nd part of that sentence, could do better for 1st part but is willing to try.

So 31/2 isn't too bad, is it?

mistressmiggins · 29/05/2008 20:26
  1. Yes he does
  2. Yes he does
  3. Yes he is
  4. Yes he is

my ex didnt tick any boxes whereas DP ticks all 4

early days I suppose AND we dont live together - will it all change if we did?

Prufrock · 29/05/2008 20:29

Actually dh ticks all 4 boxes usually. Atm he doesn't have a job though (2 months gardening leave) and I can't wait for him to get back to work and out of my space.

OrangeKnickers · 30/05/2008 15:30

I love this joke!

UnquietDad · 30/05/2008 17:01

OK, so it's funny...

... but also is a thoughtful comment on the near-impossibility for the Modern Man when it comes to matching up to women's often-contradictory needs, no?

I've often thought my life would be enormously improved by being able to clone myself like in "Multiplicity".
