A lurker from your previous threads. Good luck today banana, sending you love and hugs.

Good luck today bananabeau. Sorry your H is being a pillock.

Putting it much more politely than I would. (I think he’s a cunt, for anyone who isn’t sure) The relished torture @bananabeau endures from these monsters is distressing.

millyv · 15/07/2025 09:53

@bananabeau I'm so glad that you have been able to update us, I have been checking daily in the hope you are safe and well. You are so much better than them, clearly DH realises something is off and is trying to control you back to your normal behaviour. You have this today - stay true to yourself - we are all rooting for you! 💐

harriethoyle · 15/07/2025 09:54

Loving the advice to channel Princess Ann - very best of luck @bananabeau there's a tribe of women here who've got your back

pistachiosanscream · 15/07/2025 09:54

Best of luck today @bananabeau

@LittleGlowingOblong I am loving this advice to be Princess BanAnneaBeau!
We're all rooting for you @bananabeau find a mantra to internally chant, as now you know the plan seems to be to unsettle you, get a reaction, they'll likely up the ante.
Strength and Honour to you!

Ticktockwatchclock · 15/07/2025 10:13

I read your previous threads @bananabeau and I am glad you have recovered. Being put in this position at your own event is outrageous and channeling Princess Anne is a great way to approach the situation with the ex wife. Princess Anne was famous for telling a journalist to “Naff off” in her younger days. That might be an appropriate response to the ex wife if she starts misbehaving today. Hope today goes well for you.

Trickedbyadoughnut · 15/07/2025 10:19

Deep breaths and remember, mumsnet has your back. Good luck!

OohhhhhBigStretch · 15/07/2025 10:22

Best of luck today Flowers

Just think, once you e got through this it’s another clear indication of why you will eventually leave.

I meant to ask if you ended up looking after the younger dc during the ‘event’ that kicked all this off?

Honeypickle · 15/07/2025 10:23

Best of luck today. Remember, this too shall pass. X

diddl · 15/07/2025 10:29

Oh yes, channel Princess Anne & tell them all to "Naff Orf!"

Americano75 · 15/07/2025 10:37

We're all behind you @bananabeau stay strong!

PullTheBricksDown · 15/07/2025 10:38

When her would be kidnapper tried to tell Anne to get into his car, she reportedly said 'Not bloody likely'. Keep that in mind as a reply for anything outrageous you're asked or told today!

purpleandpurple · 15/07/2025 10:44

Good luck today!
In a couple of hours it will all be over and don't give these people any of your power.
Keep it for own badass self!

Shitwithsugar · 15/07/2025 10:45

Can anyone point out the thread that's being discussed.

Rise above @bananabeau don't react to any disruption

Deadcog · 15/07/2025 07:02

So, any specific details of what she went through and with whom, those comments will be deleted. How does this work OP?

@bananabeau sending you lots of strength and grace today.

I'm reading every post to ensure nothing 'outing' is mentioned. I am pleased everyone so far has considered banana's situation and respected this. It's a lovely thread aimed purely at providing support and strength to banana where needed.

Thinking of you today @bananabeau. Just imagine an army of mumsnet at your event today standing and supporting you.

I'm sorry things have become more difficult, these things are sent to try us!! May you come out of the other side quickly!!

Sunflowersinthesummer · 15/07/2025 10:52

Ambivilentbeing · 15/07/2025 09:27

I realise you’ve got an event today but wanted to say you mentioned your relationship has progressed to name calling. I wanted to say if you can to try to remove yourself when it gets to that as it’s the only way to protect yourself from him and also from any accusations about you from him when the time comes to divorce. Also because you don’t deserve it after all you’ve done for him and his family. Sending you all the best wishes in the world, you’re a survivor!!

Good luck today. Silence is golden. My ex used to try to taunt me. As did his family to watch me snap and break and do it publicly. I used to smile and say ‘thank you for coming’ and walk away and go to the toilet and scream in a towel.

IVbumble · 15/07/2025 10:53

Remember it's just one day & bananas have really good protective skin.

Youllnevergetabetterbitofbutteronyourknife · 15/07/2025 10:58

Good luck today @bananabeau, don't let the imbeciles grind you down!! I've been following your threads since the beginning and just wanted to say how much I admire your resilience and courage! Head held high, you've got this!! 💪🏻 💐

Livingthedream1978 · 15/07/2025 11:01

Wishing you all the best for today @bananabeau. I hope you get through it ok and have plans to get out of this awful situation asap!

dutchyoriginal · 15/07/2025 11:15

Adding my voice to the chorus, we are all behind you! Good luck and all the strength you need for today!

PS5Gamer · 15/07/2025 11:15
